Well, well, well. It’s 2008 already. 2007 seemed to go past so quickly, but I’m not sad that it’s gone.
Day before Christmas Eve was spent at the in-laws, Christmas eve was spent quietly at home and Christmas Day was spent quaffing champagne with the fabulous K and her husband, and enjoying a very nice lunch indeed (you could have just continued to put the vol-au-vents in front of me for the rest of the afternoon, m’dear!).
New Years Eve was supposed to be spent eating Korean BBQ at home with my dear friend John, but – alas – some complications have forced us to postpone. Therefore I shall be celebrating New Years Eve in a week or so when he’s feeling better. However, I am eating the raw squid kimchee that I bought as I’m sure it won’t last. Hooooeeee – that stuff is spicy good!
In the mean time, I have made a variety of New Years resolutions – some of which I intend to keep! My photographers light tent is due today and I recieved a new camera tripod from Mum & Dad, so there will be no excuse for me to get out and haunt various graveyards around the place. I also intend to try and arrange a road-trip at least once a month to get me out of the house and into new and different areas which should also be good. I also started (finally) a Flickr account, so am feeling terribly arty right now. I’m also trying to get hold of some clear and black acrylic panels for macro shots – anyone know where I can get hold of them here in Oz???
The last New Years resolution (and possibly the most important) is one regarding exercise. The Husband and I have come to an arrangement – if I do at least 30 minutes of actual heart-pumping, sweat-inducing exercise per day, he will stop nagging me to get off my butt and go walkies with him around the local park. I hate that park. And I’ll hate walking with him MUCH less when I am fit enough to keep up with his long legs AND continue my end of the argument at the same time.
Oh, and I should also add that December figures for this blog passed the 1000 mark. It seems that the general trend is 100 more views every month, so dare I hope fore 1100 by the end of January?? Yes, I know that this is piddly small in the general scheme of things but I find it terribly exciting.
